Summer 2012

Sheila’ glass creations are inspired by found objects and treasures around which she can build her original designs…an antique bottle, an etched goblet, a cobalt blue broken butter dish, a flattened metal exhaust pipe. Her designs have become freeform and whimsical, incorporating the character of pieces of hand-blown West Virginia glass, copper pipe and wirework.

Each piece of her work is unique and one of a kind, and may include beads, glass jewels, sea shells, beach glass and sliced geodes, in addition to glass in an array of colors and textures. She is able to create an heirloom piece from a client’s broken treasure.
